The Right Hand Feeding Program is another one of our anchor programs. It was established to help meet the nutritional needs of individuals and families in the community.
COVID-19 and Our ResponseOur Right Hand Feeding Program typically serves the South Chattanooga Community from June until November with single serve hot or cold meals as well as provides clothing and household items. Due to the recent pandemic we started the program two months ahead of schedule as the need was to great to wait.
Our format changed from single serve hot/cold meals to pre-packaged meals that could be cooked at home. Due to some wonderful partnerships we were able to extend our program through the month of May with not only prepackaged meals but boxes of non-perishable items as well. We will continue to serve the community as we get through this pandemic together. |
